At 7:00 AM on October 15, 2026, I began sending WaveSend from Japan to the West. For me, this was more than a change of location. It was a full-circle moment - bringing the work I have developed over the years back to the East.
It began with a rhythm
In the early days of this work, I noticed a rhythm that I initially thought was CranioSacral. The day I learned it was not, I had dinner with a friend who was a Chi Gong Master trained in China.
When I described what I was experiencing, she recognized the description. She showed me a book that spoke about the alignment of the micro universe within us and the macro universe outside us. There is a way to bring these into harmony. That made sense to me, that's what I was doing.
She told me that students were taught to feel for this rhythm, and that many couldn't find it. Reading that helped me to finally understand more of what I was doing.
A foundation that kept growing
That rhythm became a foundation for my work. Through years of exploration and development, I added the further segments that became part of WaveSend.
I share this connection as part of my own experience and understanding. WaveSend is the work I developed upon that foundation, not a claim to be an ancient Chi Gong practice.
From East to West, and back again
Sending from Japan brought those early conversations and all the years since into a new perspective. Something I had first understood through a connection to Eastern practice had grown through my own work in the West. Now I was in the East, sending westward.
The date held a personal meaning for me, too. The digits of October 15, 2026 add to 17, and 1 + 7 gives 8. I took that as a small, meaningful detail of the morning - a personal reflection, not a scientific explanation.
WaveSend continues to grow. This morning in Japan is a chapter I will carry with me: a moment of gratitude for the beginning, the people who helped me understand it, and everyone who has been part of its unfolding.
